NGARAMA HEALTH CENTER SUPLLIED WITH ADVANCED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

Medical equipment is critical part of any health center. It provides medical professionals with the tools they need to diagnose and treat patients in a timely manner, as well as ensuring that patient safety is maintained at all times.

As part of the socio-economic inclusion of refugees and host communities project dubbed JYA MBERE, in 2021 Ngarama Health Center was supplied with advanced medical equipment that impacted high-quality healthcare services and created a positive experience for all patients.

Ngarama Health Center of Gatsibo District was among the targeted health facilities to upgrade and supply medical equipment in line with improving the lives of refugees living in Nyabiheke Camp and surrounding communities.

According to Ingabire Charlote, the Health Center's director, the set of equipment with advanced technologies provided has had a significant impact on how the center operates as well as on improving the lives of the population they serve.

We used to have issues in managing overcrowding of patients with limited and old equipment, but since we were supplied this equipment, everything changed; we deliver a quick and quality service with accuracy thanks to advanced machine like CTG machine among others. She noted.

MUKAGASASIRA Laurence, a patient who get served at this health center applauded the support provided saying that it has improved the service they used to get at this center. Compared to how we used to suffer while looking for nurses, I can confirm that it has become a history as of now- She said.

Launched in 2019, the 7- year project, aims at improving access to basic services and economic opportunities and support environmental management for refugees and host communities in the targeted areas including five Districts hosting refugee camps, namely Kirehe, Gatsibo, Karongi, Nyamagabe, Gisagara, and Gicumbi District as well as Kigali City, Huye and Bugesera.

The Socio-Economic Inclusion of Refugees and Host Communities project is implemented in the support of the World Bank.
