Germaine Kamayirese Handed over to Kayisire Marie Solange; the new Minister in charge of Emergency Management.


On 2nd March 2020, the outgoing Minister in charge of Emergency management Germaine Kamayirese handed over to the new Minister Kayisire Marie Solange.  

Germaine Kamayirese welcomed the new Minister and highlighted that Honorable Kayisire joins a strong team.

Honorable Minister Kayisire Marie Solange in her address commended the work done in the Ministry, and expressed confidence that the Ministry’s team will keep working mutually.

She stated that enhancing Disaster Prevention and Mitigation as well as public awareness will be among her top priorities.

The handover was witnessed by KAYUMBA Olivier, the Permanent Secretary of MINEMA together with the heads of MINEMA staff.

Before her appointment, Kayisire Marie Solange was serving as Minister of Cabinet Affairs, in the Office of the Prime Minister.
